Hey all,

I know it's been a while since I have posted anything.  My deepest apologies.  I have a lot to tell y'all.  I will start from the month of September...

September 2009:
A new school year started.  I am officially in my third year of college.  This is my first semester at the UMN - Twin Cities Campus and I have to say, I like it a lot better down here than UMD (no offense).  I'm not saying UMD is a bad school, I'm just saying it wasn't for me.  Anywho, moving on.  B-girl Be 2009 happened this month.  This will be an unforgettable experience for me.  I got to share the stage with some ladies in Hip-Hop that I admire so much (Venus Fly Trap Crew, Rokafella, Aiko, and more).  The weekend after B-girl Be was the 2nd Annual Groundbreaker Battle.  It was a good event this year, but personally, I thought last year was a lot better.  I think this year it was just too long so by the time the final battle happened I was like "ugh...my legs! I wanna go sit down!"  But nonetheless, it was still dope.  I got hired by America Reads so I am no longer unemployed, but I still want a second job.

October 2009:
So much happened in this month, I can't remember it all!  I know that some point in October I handed in my Universal Zulu Nation application.  I was glad (yet nervous) that I finally handed it in.  I also visited the UZN Omega Zulu headquarters for the first time during October.  It's a dope spot!  It's so cozy feeling, I love it.  Halloween was fun like always.  My costume was a scarecrow =P  So because I was a scarecrow, I was dancing scarecrow style all night!  It was awesome ^_^;;  I also started my tutoring job this month.  I like it so far.

So far in November 2009:
I got to meet a world renown B-boy, B-boy Roxrite from the Bay Area!  It was an honor to meet him.  He is very skilled, talented, and passionate at what he does.  I have a lot of respect for him.  For those of you who aren't familiar with Roxrite, here's a clip of Roxrite in 2007:

Dope right?  Anywho.  My sister and her family from Seattle is visiting me and my family for Thanksgiving!  I'm really glad that they are here.  It is always fun having them around =D  I can't wait for Black Friday.  We funna kill it!  Hahaha!  On to more serious news, as of yesterday around 10:00pm, I was officially crowned to be a part of Zulu.  I am so, very honored and just as grateful for this opportunity.  I never saw myself being Zulu until I was close to being 30 years old, but here I am at 20 years of age and being a part of Zulu.  I want to give thanks to our chapter leaders StepChild and Task Rock.  You two are wonderful people and I really admire and respect you two for what you know and contribute to our Hip-Hop community.  Thank you for that.  I also want to thank the treasurer of our chapter, Annie-Up.  Girl, you so dope!  Thank you for all your efforts in bringing Zulu to the Twin Cities.  UZN - Omega Zulu Represent!!!!!

This weekend is Desdamona's CD Release party.  I am supposed to be dancing for her and Carnage, but the problem is that the event is 21+ and I am not 21 yet.  I hope Desdamona is able to work things out.  I would really like to go out and support her!  So if you are 21+ and have $5 bucks, head out to Sauce Sound Bar this Saturday to go see Desdamona and other great local Hip-Hop artists do their thang!

That's all I have for now.  I will be sure to keep y'alls updated.

Peace,
Ti-en-T
